I Just remodeled my rental unit bathroom and had to have the bathtub boot drain connected to finish the job.  After opening up the ceiling below the tub, I realized I needed a professional plumber to complete the job to make sure it was done correctly with no leaks.  Because I installed a sub floor there was a 1 1/2 inch gap between the bottom of the tub drain and the top of the boot.  This required a special extension which I picked up at The Faucet Shoppe on Elston.  I originally hired another plumber to show up at 1 pm.  When he arrived and showed him how I wanted it done, he went on to say that it would not work, he never seen that before, he would not warranty the work, etc.  He went on to say that he could cut out all the galvanize, cast iron and brass and install all plastic and it would work just as well.  Well, I sent him on his way because that was not wanted needed to be done just to install a simple boot.  

I found Drain-EZZ on on yelp and called them.  They said they had a guy in the area and he could be over in a couple of hours after he finished his other job.  Lou showed up just before 4 pm and I showed him exactly what needed to be done.  He did some pre-assembly work of the boot and slide it into place.  Tightened down the drain basket inside the tub.  Came back down and tightened all the lock nuts and fittings, did a leak test and all was good!  Took Lou an hour and the job was complete!  There was no need to cut anything out to complete the job.  He did a great job and prevented me from swearing for the next 4 hours trying to do it myself.  

I had him look at removing the garbage disposal and re-piping the kitchen sink for a later date.

My 10-y.o. water heater finally stopped working.  I called Mac because he had an impressive Yelp rating.  It's clear Mac works hard at customer service, i.e., returns calls/texts promptly, quick diagnosis of the problem, quick on site service.  Mac is high-energy (that's an understatement!), personable and I will call him again for plumbing issues and recommend him to anyone in need of a good plumber. Now I understand why his Yelp ratings are so high.

I've dealt with plumbers who are good at their work, but bad at communicating, and others that communicate well but don't do the job very effectively.  Scott is the best of both worlds.  He sent me several texts over the course of 24 hours updating his status and ETA.  That's a real comfort when you need the plumber there right away.  Highly recommended.

I had leak pipe a couple of months ago. I believe it was the owner that came out he was a very nice guy. I though he was a little like a car salesman. Overall he did a good job I thought the price was a little high but I was satisfied.

Thomas was a pleasure to work with during our recent project on our main sewer line.  He responded quickly to our first call to visit our house and provided his recommendations.  He came with a more conservative and less expensive approach than another company which was refreshing.  Thomas and team were on-time, hard working and courteous. He also made us feel calm during what could have been a stressful project.  The work was very effective.  We will use them again.

Well, I moved and needed major plumbing work in the new house. My only call was to Windy City. They had Chris at my house every day on time, and he worked his butt off. He was honest and showed us what he was doing and why, every step of the way. Excellent work and trustworthy company. The only ones I will ever call.

It was a pleasure working with First Chicago Plumbing. From the beginning, they had such great communication. The plumbers that came out were very friendly and nice. I HIGHLY recommend using them and I will definitely use them again in the future if needed.

They've handled a few plumbing emergencies over the years. They are dependable, honest, and fairly priced.

Seems very nice people, but quoted me $400 to open a drywall hole, which doesn't seem right.

Kevin from GreenTech helped me out of a jam last week. He talked me through cleaning off the thermal sensor to my water heater to try to get it running again. When that didn't get it started he talked me through getting a new FV sensor and trouble shooting that. I ended up getting the water heater started and Kevin helped me through the whole process. And didn't charge me a dime. The next plumbing project that I have is going straight to this honest business man. You should do the same.

Highly recommend Mike and his team! The sewer main in my building was backed up and we had to get the main pumped and hydrojetted. On top of doing good work, the customer service exceeded expectations. Mike was incredibly responsive in the initial discussions, quoting, and scheduling process and was able to get his team out quickly to get the project started. Everybody was knowledgeable, capable, and friendly. Would definitely hire them again for big and smaller plumbing needs!

Adam with Captain Rooter came in under an hour and within minutes my toilet was fixed! I tried plunging and using a snake, but nothing worked. Extremely professional and answered all my questions!

I cannot recommend Darrell enough! We reached out to him via Yelp for an 11 PM Saturday night service call, and not only did he reply to use within minutes, he arrived at our unit and resolved our issue within the hour.

Actually it was not a crack in our chimney as I told you repeatedly. It just had to be sealed where the water heater is attached to the ceiling. Green Tech Plumbing fixed it yesterday. If you don't know how to properly install a hot water heater, I suggest you learn. As far as ever contacting you again for services, don't worry.

We've had several plumbing issues with the purchase of our new home. I trust these guys to be honest with me and fix what needs to be done without overselling anything. Very responsive, reasonably priced and great service. Highly recommend.

I had a rocky toilet that was supposedly fixed by Chicagoland Handyman in June of 2022, but five months later the rocking was back. I searched for a plumber to fix this unsteady toilet once and for all. I called Mike the Plumber. He was able to come out the next day and was able to to stabilize my toilet. Mike the Plumber was very nice as he explained what the problem was and what he was going to do to fix it. He said if the rocking comes back (which it won't) he will tend to it. I will definitely call Mike the Plumber for any future plumbing issues in my old building. Thank you Mike!

Just like other reviewers stated, Juan was super responsive and reasonable. I sent in my request on Yelp and he was one of the first companies responded.  Juan contacted me via phone and text, and sent me the quote and appointment within minutes! I'm so glad that I selected A&Y Plumbing based on the rave reviews from their customers. Hence I'm writing this review so others can benefit from their services.

We appreciate the professionalism and resourcefulness that Juan and his crew demonstrated throughout the whole process. They are not only very respectful and arrived on time, but also very good and thorough at what they do. They quickly identified and fixed the cause of the problem, explained how to prevent it from happening again, and also pointed out a couple of other areas to keep an eye on. My daughter was also very impressed by Juan's communication skills and mindfulness of the on-going pandemic. The crew strictly followed the CDC guidelines and kept their masks and shoe coverings on the whole time during the onsite visit.
